The friars of the chapter of the Province of St. Martin de Porres, USA, have elected fr. Mark E. Wedig, OP, as their Prior Provincial on June 6. The election was promptly confirmed, on the same day, by the Master of the Order.

We are not meant to observe the Most Holy Trinity from afar – we are meant to be within the life of the Trinity.

Sin is the reason we can’t understand each other.

God has used mountains for generations as places of encounter b/w God and humanity and where something monumental would begin.

God loves us unconditionally, not according to our accomplishments or good behavior.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

Are you allowing God to speak to you when He wants to speak?

We need more models of humility. And we can begin here.

Those marks in His hands and His side are the receipt of the price paid for my sins and your sins!

The Resurrection of Jesus isn’t a step back to the day before He was crucified—it’s a step forward beyond the crucifixion, beyond death.

The empty tomb is a sign of hope.

Tonight, the Paschal Candle will be lit signifying that Jesus Christ has risen and is radiating God's grace throughout heaven and earth.

It is finished.

Today we celebrate Christ, our crucified king who came into the world to "testify to the truth."

The bread and wine he blesses become his Body and Blood that will be sacrificed to atone for the sins of the world.

The cross proves that Jesus' divine gaze will never stop looking for the good in us.

The Gospel turns the light inward and up close.

The tiniest bit of trust in Jesus has the power to transform the world.

Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test.

God, however, knows better.
